What is a Project Assessment and why do I need one?
The Project Assessment is the process of analyzing your current website and delivering a detailed outline of recommended improvements/changes. This process can take several hours depending on the depth of your site and what changes you’d like to see. We charge for this service. Please view our pricing guide for details.

How much will it cost to build my website?
We have a website development minimum of $900. That is the minimum cost to develop (code) your site and does not include domain name registration, hosting or set up fees. Please view our pricing guide for more details.

I want you to redesign the look of my site and nothing else. Do you offer this service?
Yes! We are happy to work with your current web master and provide them with a design template for them to implement into your site. We can customize most pre-purchase design templates as well.

How long will it take to create my website?
That depends on a variety of factors including how large the web site is, when the content is submitted and the amount of it, our current work schedule, and your budget to name a few. Most small web sites require a minimum of 15 hours and can be completed in 4-6 weeks from start date.

When I spoke with Scrappy Studios I was told it would be several months before my web project could be started. Why is this?
We schedule to accommodate existing clients and their needs. We have a sizable established client base and our established clients are given priority over new/potential clients.

Developing a web site is not an overnight process and may take longer than one might think. Development time largely depends on the client. It can take weeks to gather content and then you must consider the communication time involved to proof and make changes on designs and such.

We understand that there can be project delays for a variety of reasons. In order to process requests in a timely manner, we must consider that and leave time for those types of things. Sometimes scheduled projects get delayed or cancelled allowing us to complete other projects sooner. By having that window we find it ends up working to everyone’s advantage by allowing us time to ensure all projects are managed properly. For those reasons 4 - 6 weeks to wait to start developing a site is not unreasonable.

Do you create E-commerce web sites?
No. We can design or often implement a design for an e-commerce site, but we do not offer assistance with e-commerce web set up.

Do I have to use Scrappy Studios to maintain my web site?
As long as you manage your own domain name and hosting, anyone you designate can maintain your site. Scrappy Studios will not be responsible for any web site errors caused by the actions of another web master/ administrator.

How long will it take to update my web site?
That depends on the type of update you are requesting and on our current schedule. Most simple text, link or graphic updates can be done in 24 - 48 hours. Larger requests will take longer to complete.

I just need someone to maintain my existing website. Can you do that?
No. We only maintain the sites we create or help to develop.

Will you teach me how to manage or update my website?
No. We do not offer education services for web administration. We can be contracted to perform regular updates or maintenance.

Do you offer tech support services for my web site?
Yes and No. Tech support and 15 minutes of phone consultation time is available monthly to clients choosing to use our Web Account Management services. If you do not use Scrappy Studios to manage your web account, we cannot offer tech support services through your host. Should an issue arise that requires the time of a Scrappy Studios representative and you are not on our Web Account Management program, you will be charged a minimum $25 fee for us to assist in any way.

What types of files should I submit for my website content?
We prefer to have all content files submitted on CD Rom. Zipped content files can often be sent through email. Clients are required to phone ahead before sending large email files. Text files should be in Notepad, Microsoft Word, Word Perfect or Word pad. All graphic files should be in GIF, TIFF, PDF, or JPG format.
